PayPal.Me Hits 1 Million Milestone In 100 Days

The holiday season has been good to PayPal’s P2P payments side.
PayPal announced yesterday (Dec. 22) that PayPal saw its biggest online day of giving this year on #GivingTuesday (Dec. 1), along with Cyber Monday as its biggest online shopping day in PayPal’s history. All of that together gave what PayPal said was a record-setting week in terms of P2P payments.
This has helped PayPal register 1 million PayPal.Me links in 100 days.
The data show that PayPal saw a 121 percent increase in P2P for Christmas-related payments. PayPal also saw a 117 percent increase for P2P for gifts, when compared with just the week prior.

UK government working with eBay and Amazon to catch tax-evading sellers

When it comes to tax avoidance, it's usually big companies that come under the spotlight. Of course, there is nothing -- legally speaking -- wrong with tax avoidance, but it's a very different story with tax evasion. With eBay and Amazon providing a platform for vendors around the world, it is perhaps little surprise that the retail sites are home to a large number of tax evaders.
An investigation by the Guardian found that there are a huge number of overseas sellers who fail to pay VAT in the UK. HM Revenue & Customs is currently looking into whether eBay and Amazon could be held responsible for the tax bills, or what could be done to track down offenders.

Scientists discover Earth's invisible FORCE FIELD that blocks 'killer energy' from space



SCIENTISTS have discovered an invisible shield found some 7,200 miles above Earth that blocks "killer electrons" from space.
A team from University of Colorado Boulder discovered the Star Trek-like shield which encases the entire planet in the Van Allen radiation belts.
