Big Brother Africa “Hotshots” will be officially launched on Sunday, October 5 and Nigerian singer Davido is expected to perform along with other acts.
Season 9 of Big Brother Africa, tagged “Hotshots”, will be officially launched on Sunday, October 5 in South Africa.
Nigerian musician, Davido will perform at the show alongside “Rands and Naira” singer, Emmy Gee and Tanzanian star, Diamond Platinumz among others.
A press statement released by the organizers reads:
It’s all coming alive and live on 5 October, at 19:00! Be sure not to miss the Big Brother Hotshots launch. It promises to be a night of absolute fun with performances from young and fresh award-winning and talented musicians that know how to set the stage alight!
Cassper Nyovest from South Africa, with hot singles like “Gusheshe” and “Doc Shebeleza”, has shared stages with international acts such as Kendrick Lamar and Wiz Khalifa. Nigerian-American Davido boasts numerous singles such as “Gobe”, One of a Kind” and “Aye”.
Diamond Platnumz (or simply Diamond) from Tanzania has successful singles including “Nataka Kulewa”, “Kesho” and “Number One”. He features Davido in the remix of “Number One”. We know South African Dj Dimplez and AB Crazy from Nigerian Emmy Gee’s single “Rands and Naira” (the remix of which features Cassper Nyovest).
With the above line-up, the live show is to see many on their feet dancing to hip hop beats and light dance tunes.
This year’s show will feature 26 contestants from 13 different countries including Nigeria’s Tayo Faniran and Lilian Afegbai.
