Rio Olympics: Boxing: Nigeria’s Efe Ajagba knocks out opponent in round one
Nigeria’s sole representative in the boxing event of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Efe Ajagba, is through to the quarter-finals.
Ajagba qualified for the quarter-finals in emphatic style as he knocked out Trinidad and Tobago’s Nigel Paul in round one to progress into the last eight.
Ajagba, who told PREMIUM TIMES before going to Rio that his mission was to end the 20-year medal drought that has plagued Nigeria in boxing at the Olympics, will now face Ivan Dychko from Kazakhstan in the quarter-finals on Tuesday.

US declares Borno, Rivers, Edo, 17 other states as ‘unsafe’ and ‘no go area’ to citizens
The United States Government has asked its citizens living in Nigeria to stay away from twenty of the country’s 36 states which it described as unsafe.
The US Government, in an advisory published online on Wednesday, cited Borno, Adamawa and Yobe as a complete no-go area.
It further listed Bauchi, Bayelsa, Delta, Edo, Gombe, Imo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi, Niger, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto, and Zamfara as unsafe areas.

Man Builds Noah's Ark Replica To Prove The Bible Was Right
A creationist Christian has built a £77million replica of Noah’s ark to prove that the story actually happened.
Back in 2010 Ken Ham, who believes everything in the Bible should be taken literally, announced that his organisation Answers in Genesis would construct the 510-foot-long ship in Kentucky.
